Contractor Safety Program

There are probably some of you out there who are wondering what a contractor safety program is. Put simply, it is a safety plan which you put in place before commencing any type of construction work on a site. In fact, you are legally obligated to do so under OSHA legislation in the United States.

What If I Don’t Write One Up?

This is certainly a tempting for many given that the creation of such a safety plan requires a lot of knowledge, money and time which is not a luxury that many have in the construction industry.

If you don’t come up with one for your site, you can face serious consequences if you are caught by the authorities. At the bare minimum, you will be slapped with a hefty fine, which according to the size of your business, could mean the end of that business. At the worst, you can face prosecution and face time behind bars. Pretty severe for not submitting some legal documentation, right?

However, if you put it in perspective, safety is not something you should underestimate or take for granted. The truth of the matter is that the construction industry put the lives of many workers at risk on a daily basis. This makes it unique among all industries.

In order to help people across the United States prepare a contractor safety program, Ensafe has developed the “Construction Safety Management Plan (CSMP)” which allows any contractor or company create an OSHA compliant customized safety plan with very little time or money.

If the CSMP interests you, you can download a sample now by clicking here.

By the same token, you can find more details about its features and benefits on the main page of the website.
